ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review quotation/order file to assure it contains all information necessary for processing. 
  2.  Verify completion check on marketing quotation/order file for compliance with customer specifications. Resolve discrepancies, if any are found, and request necessary corrections.
  3. Evaluate electrical and mechanical design to assure it meets all established design criteria and recent design changes. 
  4. Access computerized quotation file, make changes if necessary, determine and input information to process production file as either a “standard” or “shop order” file. Save the production file to be used for final costing and future reference of the unit. 
  5. Analyze design to determine if any changes can be made to improve function or reduce cost without deviating from customer requirements.
  6. Check advance material requirement sheet (AMRS) to assure correct material is specified and will be ordered and available for production. 
  7. Prepare production files and issue to drafting for completion of bills of material and drawings. 
  8. Monitor established production schedules and plan workload to meet requirements of the schedule. 
  9. Evaluate requests for changes to production file, revise and re-issue file if corrections are necessary. 
  10. Responsible for the use-up of certain surplus or obsolete material to exhaust inventory, as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform various engineering support functions and projects for engineering and other departments.
  2. Perform other relevant duties, as assigned. 

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Engineering from an accredited University or College.
  • Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as mechanical or electrical technology involving a thorough skill knowledge plus the application of basic transformer theory. 
  • Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical designs. 
  • Must possess good organization skills to analyze and process large numbers of files. 
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers. 
  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington MO.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
