What is this role?

Are you just starting on your career and looking for an exciting, multi-faceted position in which you’ll play a key role in the company’s success? As WECO’s Administrative Specialist (AS) you will interact with multiple departments and teams including Finance, HR, and Operations. You will have your hands in many functions and will have a chance to learn the inner workings of a fast-growing, early-stage company.

In this role, you will focus on assisting with multiple areas of the company: Basic accounting functions such as accounts payable and payroll; our recruiting efforts as we continue to scale and grow our company; other operational tasks such as booking travel; special projects such as live food truck events for our customers. This is a great entry-level job for someone entering the workforce and wanting to start on a great career path.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
  • Analyze invoices from external vendors and reconcile and process payments.
  • Act as vendor liaison, helping to address any communication discrepancies.
  • Play a key role in the recruiting process through posting jobs on HR platforms, reviewing candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Prepare reports as needed to support leadership decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate corporate travel and assist with expense reports
  • Attend live customer events and act as an on-site coordinator as needed.
  • Other activities and projects as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • One year of professional experience is preferred but if you are new to the workforce and this job speaks to you, please apply!
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.
