Job Description:
Medscape is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and keeping projects up to date across Medscape Medical Affairs programs. The Project Manager drives a portfolio of client digital projects, working closely with internal teams to meet revenue expectations.
The candidate will be expected to manage and execute a range of projects across multiple clients in support of our Medical Affairs business. The ideal candidate for this role is a person who obtains satisfaction in the on-time, on-budget, within scope, delivery of projects, from initiation through completion. The applicant should be a highly organized individual with strong project management expertise, detailed and clear communication skills, and a proven ability to prioritize and excel in a deadline-driven environment, with a particular focus on efficient project and timeline execution.
Responsibilities:
- Member of a broader Client Services team supporting project execution across a range of digital programmes, setting up and managing timelines, working with internal teams, and delivering metric reports
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with various internal stakeholders (i.e. Account Management, Content Development, Marketing & Audience Generation, Product Development, Outcomes, and Insights) that will assist in smooth, efficient, and on-time project execution
- Staying abreast of overall project implementation across all external and internal development teams including use of an electronic task management system
- Managing submissions to clients' Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review teams on Veeva, and work with internal teams to package assets, incorporate feedback and obtain final approval
- Able to implement processes and procedures, managing the project scope and timeline
- Working with other departments to streamline processes to allow for efficient timelines
- Set client programme objectives and project timelines as part of start-up process
- Reviewing project plans, managing dependencies and critical path issues, and modifying schedules and/or project plans as necessary
- Mitigating project issues and identify potential for project accelerations; offer creative solutions to overcome development issues
- Modifying project timeline templates and workflows to reflect unique aspects of individual projects
- Tracking progress of projects and submitting status reports to management on a weekly basis
- Analyzing progress reports to identify "at risk" projects and present solutions to cross-functional leaders to mitigate delays
- Independently communicate to management on-time, accelerations and delays in projects that impact revenue recognition
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with a combination of digital, agency and healthcare experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience which can be a combination of program management and/or project management
- Ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines
- Work in a cohesive team environment as well as independently
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a willingness to accept varied assignments
- Extreme focus on accuracy, attention to detail and consistency of work
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English. Additional languages would be an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience in medical publishing, or Agency environment, or relevant digital technologies
- Must be enthusiastic, resilient, tenacious, persuasive with excellent communication skills and strong customer focus
- Experience with web-based document sharing sites (such as Google and SharePoint Online)
- Excellent organization and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, task management systems like Workfront, Salesforce and the ability to master internal systems such as JIRA, training tools such as Learning Pool and Accent Librarian)
