Webcor Construction, LP is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Alameda, CA

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. Scheduled work time is flexible as long as consistent and between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, our core department hours .

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for reviewing vendor statements, routing vendor invoices and manage vendor A/P e-mail accounts daily, to create timely payments and maintain accurate records. This position is responsible for strengthening an environment that focuses on continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

  • Retrieve invoices and check requests from multiple A/P e-mail accounts
  • Sort and distribute department mail
  • Scan, review and route invoices
  • Review vendor statements, collection notices and research in system
  • Assist with filing of preliminary notices, contracts and owner billings
  • Create job folders for new jobs
  • Update and maintain job listing in MS Excel
  • Mail subcontractor and vendor checks, to include special handling help tickets
  • Accounting systems software testing
  • Research and resolve help tickets

Requirements:

  • AA degree in accounting (or degree in progress) or related field
  • At least one year experience in an accounting role
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office with proficiency (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • CMIC experience is desirable
  • Adept in learning new software quickly to navigate, review, track and upload various documents
  • Attention to detail in composing, writing, typing, and proofing materials with error free results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Manage multiple tasks and respond to multiple requests simultaneously
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal guidance
  • Collaborative work style that ensures success of team, department, and company
  • Manage confidential matters in a discrete and professional manner
