Why you should work with Wayside:

Wayside has three programs to help women break the cycle of addiction and trauma.

Wayside Women's Treatment Center provides residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for women who face the greatest challenges of achieving long-term sobriety. Residential treatment includes addressing substance use and mental health disorders and wraparound services including housing, health, employment, and parenting.

Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.

Wayside Wellness Outpatient Center provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and preventative care of women. Our programming meets the needs of women at any stage of their journey.

What you will do:

  • Organize, design, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
  • Manage payroll administration
  • Direct day to day financial management; utilize nonprofit accounting software
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and Board summaries within the time frame established by the CEO.
  • Lead the annual budget process. Ensure expenses and revenue projections are appropriate and fiscally responsible. Prepare annual budget for submission.
  • Work with the CEO/COO co-creating a detailed budget analysis and summary.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of the organizations fiscal condition and trends
  • Proactively establish appropriate fiscal policies, controls, and separations of duties
  • Coordinate the annual financial audit, preparation, and submission of the IRS 990 report, 550 filing, State of MN, and US Census reporting
  • Develop reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash thresholds to meet operating needs and loan requirements
  • Responsible for payroll management through ADP
  • Ensure 403(b) retirement plan Is fully compliant with state and federal regulations
  • Contribute to Board/staff strategic planning process
  • Create and support legal and contract management systems for the organization
  • Work with Senior Leadership to assess opportunities for substance use treatment programs, and develop business plans, forecasts, and analysis of new and existing programs, while assisting with the maintenance of our current assets.

Compensation: $100,000-120,000 per year

Schedule:

Hybrid work arrangement. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, day-time hours.

Sound like a good fit? A few requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business admin, accounting, or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience as a senior level financial leader
  • Knowledge of accounting software (Peachtree/Sage preferred)
  • Experience with county, state, and federal grant management
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle check – no DUIs within the last 3 years
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in finance, business admin, or related field
  • CPA is a plus
  • Non-profit financial management experience
