Watts Regulator Company is Hiring an E&I Technician (Electronics and Instrumentation Technician) Near Franklin, NH
The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to electrical controls, equipment and wiring in both the machining operations and foundry operations. This individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision, who possesses excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills. The work may involve testing, troubleshooting, installation and repair of electrical and mechanical components. The individual must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications as well as keep the instrumentation and controls current to industrial and manufacturing code. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Troubleshoot, operate, maintain, calibrate and repair various types of electronic, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment Maintain power, process controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC), electric generation equipment and orifice meters Assemble, install, test and maintain instrumentation, electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatuses and fixtures, using hand and power tools Diagnose malfunctioning systems, equipment and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, frequency generators and oscilloscopes Receive and maintain equipment documentation (blue prints, schematics, line diagrams, technical manuals, operation manuals) and serve as the facility technical resource in their review and use Proficient with various PLC models including but not limited to Allen Bradley, GE, Direct Logics and Cmore Perform other duties as may be assigned. EMPLOYEE CORE COMPETENCIES: Work safely and adhere to all Safety protocol Collaborate Across Workgroups Communicate Effectively Deliver High Quality Work Drive for Results Focus on the Customer Initiate Positive Change Effective Independent Work EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: Minimum Requirements High School Diploma 3 years of proven work experience in an Electronics & Instrumentation position Preferred Requirements Associates degree in electronics / controls or accredited apprenticeship program Electrical Journeyman’s License Industrial expertise with PLC controls and programming skills Excellent understand of industrial safely rules and guidelines Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude Strong diagnostic skills and problem solving mindset Proven ability to read blueprints and schematics Automation experience a plus MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISON: N/A *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, 80 pounds with assistance.
