DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of development workflow software/systems. The DevOps Engineer participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the development workflow. This individual ensures that development workflows, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies and values.

Essential Job functions

• Update, Optimize, Automate development workflows in a primarily Microsoft environment.
• Oversee all aspects of on-premises and cloud development lab virtualized environment.
• Oversee and implement enhancements/updates to existing development lab virtualized environments.
• Monitor the health and performance of development environments and recommend changes as needed.
• Assist in forecasting capacity needs for server hardware, storage, and other infrastructure components.
• Assist in providing Tier II/III support for development team.
• Assist in analysis, development, and enforcement of security practices and policies.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Microsoft Azure Management
• Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Pipelines, Repositories, agents, etc.
• Team Foundation Server
• SQL Experience
• Octopus Deploy
• Common Development workflow experience
  • Branching, CI/CD, change control, etc
• PowerShell, C#, Angular experience, JavaScript
• Visual Studios experience

Education and Experience

• Azure certifications (AZ-103, AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-400) 
• 3 years of Microsoft System Administration experience
• 2 years of Microsoft development experience
• 2 years of virtualization / Azure experience
• Previous DevOps Experience also very desirable
