Waterford.org is Hiring a Remote Implementation Specialist

Waterford.org's Implementation Specialists positively impact early literacy learning of pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade age children by providing consistent, ongoing support to families, instructional leaders, teachers, and administrators as their school district implements Waterford Reading Academy. Our Implementation Specialists use their deep subject matter expertise in early education to support onsite and virtual training. They also support Family Academy, which strives to empower families to be a child's first teacher by educating them about foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional concepts.

This is a temporary position that we anticipate will last one year from date of hire. In the event that Waterford.org is awarded the South Carolina Innovations grant again the temporary employment opportunity could be extended. There is also the possibility of transitioning to a regular status position if one becomes available.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the districts program implementation and meets with individual schools, teachers, and families.
  • Build and facilitate equitable customized professional services for administrators, teachers, and families that come from diverse sets of backgrounds.
  • Correspond with school districts through going questions through on-site visits, emails, and phone calls
  • Conducts site-based coaching and models whole class and/or small group settings
  • Helps teachers understand how Waterford integrates into their daily routines and curricula
  • Integrates and encourages routines in the computer lab as well as classroom settings
  • Champions project communications between internal and external partners
  • Measures and evaluates progress against the implementation plan and goals with site and district leaders during regularly scheduled implementation status meetings
  • Assists with the planning, carrying out and supporting of the most effective use of Waterford solutions for virtual learning, summer school programs, and all other initiatives and special projects
  • Continuously champion, promote, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence
  • Collaborate on and contribute to organizational DEI efforts and goals
  • Travel 30% - 70%, depending upon areas assigned
  • Occasional evening work required

Required Experience

  • Minimum 4-year college degree, preferably in education, and prior teaching experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Experience with childhood early literacy strongly preferred
  • Experience mentoring, and coaching teachers, leaders and families
  • Experience supporting a diverse group of administrators, teachers, and families, ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all students
  • Basic understanding of school district technology environments and product deployment
  • Expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong problem-solving, good time management, and the ability to take ownership of any situation
  • Develops positive cross-functional relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Must be driven and always looking for ways to go above and beyond to meet goals with accuracy and accountability
  • Proven ability to employ informed and honest verbal and written communication to achieve desired outcomes
  • Outstanding focus on customer service

Working at Waterford.org

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. The pay range for this temporary, full-time position is $68,400 to $75,000 annually. An exact salary will be determined based on compensation benchmarking data combined with the education, experience, and skill level of the individual we hire. We offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched dollar-for-dollar up to 5% by the organization. Currently, Waterford requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or file a religious or medical exemption (as applicable by federal, state, and local law).
