Role:
The Systems Administrator II is a senior level role and will maintain essential IT operations in a Windows domain environment. This includes the administration of Active Directory, GPO, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, fileservers, storage, backups, and other critical domain services. Responsibilities include administration of server operating systems, laptops, desktops, system patching, applications, IT asset management, and end user support. The role also is responsible for maintaining documentation and design planning for critical systems & services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
25% - (Systems Management) - Design, install and administer the physical and software components of the company's Windows Domain environment. This includes all parts of Active Directory, Group Policy, Email, DNS, network file sharing, backups, system updates/patching, system imaging, user administration, and authentication services (RADIUS, LDAP, MFA).
20% - (Equipment Maintenance & Usage) - Manage all Windows based monitoring tools for patch management, security, anti-virus, web filtering and user administration.
20% - (Desktop Tier 2-3 support) - Assist the Help Desk group in upper level support of the Windows desktop environment. Includes tier 1-2 network support.
15% - (Analytical Skills) – Research, recommend standards, conventions, policies and best practice procedures within the areas of responsibility.
15% - (Decision-Making & Judgment) – Research, recommend and administer system security through operating system controls such as Group Policy and other third party software enhancements.
5% - (Adaptability) - Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Essential Functions:
- Ability to communicate clearly and to be understood in English verbally, by telephone and in person.
- Ability to clearly read/write in standard English for all types of material such as correspondence, memos, reports, and documentation.
- Ability to exercise good judgment by using proper prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to manipulate computer hardware and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit at workstation in increments of two or three hours throughout the workday.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Seven plus years of IT related experience.
- Education: College degree of AA or better or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in supporting network servers and PC/LAN hardware, software and communication products.
- Minimal 5 years’ experience with Windows desktop and server OS (Windows 10, Server 20012 or newer), LANs, TCP/IP, telecommunications and WANs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
- Ability to work independently in trouble-shooting problems and researching capabilities of current or proposed products.
- Understanding of industry standards regarding system and network security.
- Ability to communicate professionally with other I.T. personnel, vendor support staff and users.
- Must be able to travel to our satellite locations at a moments notice within the workday.
Performs all duties and assignments in compliance with credit union policies and appropriate regulatory statutes, including BSA regulations and those that correspond with specific job duties.
