Role:
The Systems Administrator II is a senior level role and will maintain essential IT operations in a Windows domain environment. This includes the administration of Active Directory, GPO, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, fileservers, storage, backups, and other critical domain services. Responsibilities include administration of server operating systems, laptops, desktops, system patching, applications, IT asset management, and end user support. The role also is responsible for maintaining documentation and design planning for critical systems & services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
25% - (Systems Management) - Design, install and administer the physical and software components of the company's Windows Domain environment. This includes all parts of Active Directory, Group Policy, Email, DNS, network file sharing, backups, system updates/patching, system imaging, user administration, and authentication services (RADIUS, LDAP, MFA).
20% - (Equipment Maintenance & Usage) - Manage all Windows based monitoring tools for patch management, security, anti-virus, web filtering and user administration.
20% - (Desktop Tier 2-3 support) - Assist the Help Desk group in upper level support of the Windows desktop environment. Includes tier 1-2 network support.
15% - (Analytical Skills) – Research, recommend standards, conventions, policies and best practice procedures within the areas of responsibility.
15% - (Decision-Making & Judgment) – Research, recommend and administer system security through operating system controls such as Group Policy and other third party software enhancements.
5% - (Adaptability) - Performs other job related duties as assigned.
