Description
- Supervises the daily activities of a group of employees. Oversees the development and execution of processes to ensure the work is handled effectively, professionally and in a timely manner.
- Acts as a liaison between the account manager and the customer contact(s).
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of Procurement & POD reports and billing.
- Performs all dock checks and supports warehouse personnel.
- Recovers and delivers all inbound freight.
- Monitors service failures through the CMS Action Request tool and fomulates corrective action.
- Able to keep current with changes in our business trends and customer base so that calls are efficiently and accurately routed to the proper department for handling.
- Provides prompt and accurate information to the team to ensure all members are working to meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
- Supports, leads and helps to manage/influence change so that the Company's key objectives and business goals are met.
- Coaches and mentors staff in their career development.
- Responsible for ensuring all department members receive their performance review on time.
Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, internal and external customers and current and potential clients in the marketplace.
- Practices excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibits a high degree of professionalism.
- Able to prioritize, multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision. Stays on task.
- Able to keep current with changes in our business trends, customer base and agents servicing our clients.
- Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and effective/efficient in carrying out new assignments.
- Able to consistently meet the Company's expectations of attendance, punctuality and reliability. Proficient at using computer systems and applications (e.g. MS Office Word, Excel, Sales Force and other IT applications as trained or required.
- Has a working knowledge of government regulations and industry standards as applicable.
- At least 4 years of freight forward experience in International Customer Service.
- Has knowledge of government regulations and industry standards as applicable.
- Able to conduct customer service meetings and be able to comfortably address customers/clients as needed.
