If the answer is yes, then this may be the right for you. Our priority is to make sure our sites have someone local that can help them with their recruiting initiatives and retention plans. As a Recruiting and Retention Specialist/Corporate Recruiter, you are responsible for: Building relationships with district and division management to assess staffing needs and provide effective recruiting and retention solutions. Delivering all areas of the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, assessment, extending offers and scheduling all pre-employment processes. Planning and conducting hiring events. Developing and maintaining relationships with recruiting sources including candidates, employees, other recruiters, trade school and college officials, business associations, state job agencies, etc. to foster an ongoing pipeline of highly competent and qualified candidates. Taking steps with local leadership to ensure all new hires have a superior Day 1 experience. Coordinating the completion of all new hire onboarding documents. Creating and maintaining a check in process with new hires in order to provide feedback to the leadership team on how retention may be improved. Assist employees with understanding and using company benefit programs. Providing HR generalist services for the division. Be a liaison between region and corporate HR to get employees help they may need. Escalating issues to Region and/or Corporate as necessary. Participating in investigations at the direction of the Region HR Manager. What we need from you: 2 or more years in a customer service, sales, or recruiting environment. Internal knowledge of Waste Connections operations is highly preferred. Ability to travel within the Division Prior experience in an ATS as well as an HRIS system Have self-driven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple matters and projects while demonstrating sound judgment, decision making and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
