Washington Hospital is Hiring a Director of Case Management Near Fremont, CA

Position Summary: The Director is an operational leader responsible for planning, organizing and directing comprehensive Hospital-wide Case Management activities for the Hospital and Medical Staff. The Director has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for department activities, operations, assigned staff and staff competency. In addition to performing the essential functions, may also be assigned other duties as required. Qualifications:1.BSN degree and Registered Nurse with current California RN license, required. 2. MBA, MHA or MPH degree, preferred.
3. Current professional certification as a Case Manager via ACMA or CMSA4. Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a manager of case management within a 200 bed medical surgical hospital.5. Knowledge of applicable Joint Commission standards and comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, required.
6. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS and Title 22, desired
7. Familiarity with all current state and federal regulatory mandates and ability to lead facility implementation to meet compliance. 
8. Previous experience implementing and directing case management and social work programs, desired.9. Experience of program development and coordination of health professionals.
10. Ability to direct the development of software systems to support Case Management.
11. Revenue cycle experience with focus on denial avoidance and appeal management.
12. Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred.
