Washington County Mental Health Services is Hiring a Program Manager I Near Montpelier, VT

NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING

POSITION: Program Manager I

PROGRAM: Residential

DIVISION: Community Developmental Services

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reliable, responsible, dedicated individual to join and assist a team committed to providing quality services to an individual living in an agency managed residence. Oversee day to day operations, provide leadership, guidance, and support to all team members. Job duties are completed in accordance with agency and Dept. of Aging & Independent Living (DAIL) / Centers for Medicaid Service guidelines and/or regulations. The Program Manager will provide service planning and coordination and have knowledge and experience with all Case Manager functions.

Directly responsible to the CDS Assistant Program Director. Experience with person-centered planning, quality assurance, development and monitoring of the Individual Support Agreement (ISA) and a compliment of other services. Comfort with providing training. 40 hours/week with benefits.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Case Manager and Residential Support staff (RSS).
  • Assist Case Manager as needed in scheduling of staff within 24/7 program to include coordinating coverage during support staff time off (e.g. vacations and sick time).
  • Participate in the recruitment, interview, and selection process for Residential Support Specialists.
  • Provide training and supervision to the Case Manager and RSS’s to include regular staff meetings.
  • Assure that all team members are aware of and complete delegated responsibilities as required.
  • Mediate and maintain objective viewpoint when dealing with situational difficulties and assist in reaching a resolution.
  • Assure communication with all team members by disseminating information and when necessary, acting as a liaison between team members and other providers.
  • Assuring compliance with agency/DAIL/Medicaid guidelines, policies & procedures.
  • Providing mentoring and training of appropriate activities in the home and community.
  • Assist Case Manager with home maintenance and purchasing as needed.
  • Familiarity of UEMR, and able to provide training and assistance with the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Assist Case Manager in developing and coordinating staff trainings to monitor changing needs and expand skill of support providers in specific areas as needed.

Additional:

  • Clinical supervision as well as collaborative problem-solving consultation with Case Manager and team members as appropriate. This may include specific Case Manager difficulties, as well as case updates.
  • Provide coordination and aid in emergency situations when assigned. On-call coverage is expected.
  • Attend approved trainings, in-services, and/or conferences to assure professional growth.
  • Ensure that personnel issues are addressed in a timely manner collaboratively with HRD, Case Manager, APD, and PD.
  • Participate/attend leadership meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all Washington County Mental Health Services policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as required or assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree, supervisory experience, and Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) status required. Possession of a driver’s license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle are required. Experience with autism and positive behavioral supports preferred.
