Description
OBJECTIVE:
The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, promoting the success and growth of Wasco. They are responsible for adhering to accounting principles, compliance with laws and regulations, and best accounting practices.
JOB DUTIES:
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data; compiling, auditing, and submitting documents and procedures; analyzing industry trends; and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operation and development of the company’s finance department, including:
o Creating and reviewing policies,
o Billing,
o Accounts receivable,
o Cash receipts,
o Collections,
o Accounts payable,
o Payroll,
o General ledger,
o Forecasting,
o Budgeting,
o Internal controls, and
o Conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations; monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Advise team members and management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
- Assure timely and accurate payroll processing including verification of system interfaces, balancing of payroll, and tax data.
- Review tax payments and quarterly tax reports.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Finance team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all Manager Expectations.
- Understand, fully support, and demonstrate Wasco’s mission statement, core values, and operating principles.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Minimum Requirement - Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
CPA certification or license preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Requirement - 5 years of accounting experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAP
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative management style
- Ability to manage financials for multiple entity structures
- Ability to handle revenue of over $40 million
- Self-directed; planning and organization skills

- Ability to travel for one week out of every month
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
