Norbet Trucking is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team!
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assign and direct the work of Company Drivers, Owner Operators and Outside Carriers with the goals of maintaining a high level of on time delivery, overall service and supporting the Drivers’ needs.
- Provide accurate and detailed information regarding directions, load information, pick-up/delivery times and other special load related information
- Prioritize loads for timely delivery.
- Provide efficient, friendly customer contact.
- Assign loads to drivers in a fair and equitable manner.
- Communicate with drivers regarding company, government and customer requirements.
- Promote safety in all actions.
- Control and complete paperwork as required.
- Daily Audit Tripsheets for missing or inaccurate documentation
- Communicate with drivers for missing paperwork.
- Monitor, communicate and update changes for driver load information
- Address driver payroll issues.
- Monitor and update changes or expirations for drivers and equipment in TMW.
- Communicate with Sales on any issues with shipments.
- Obtain backhauls
- Schedule LTL pick ups
- Provide driver coverage for South Plainfield terminal when needed.
- Monitor ELD and report any issues or concerns to the safety department.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two or more years of related experience and/or training.
- Minimum two years’ experience dispatching CDL Class A vehicles.
- Demonstrated experience with DOT regulations, federal and state standards.
- Ability to work on an independent basis with limited supervision, to be a self-starter in planning, initiating and completing assignments.
