Overall Scope

Assists with the purchasing function of an organization, including selecting vendors, evaluating vendors, and ensuring payments are complete and compliant. Approves purchase orders and maintains purchase order records. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a "lead" or first-level supervisor. Plan, schedule, and direct all activities related to in-house assembly of industrial control panels.

• Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
• Carries out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
• Uses knowledge of material work planning and methods engineering processes and procedures to coordinate product deliveries.
• Negotiates best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
• Uses knowledge of machines and equipment to schedule items necessary to continual production cycles.
• Perform additional duties per supervisor’s direction or as job dictates.

  This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., forty (40) hours per week.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
