Job Summary:
The CMA, under direct supervision of the Medical Physician, assists in the appropriate elements of administrative and clinical responsibilities within the scope of the Certified Medical Assistant's training. The CMA may prepare patients for exams, provide care needs, administer medication, and assist with specific procedures with appropriate orientation and supervision

Certifications Required:
Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following is required:
Must have American Heart Association BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) or American Red Cross required.
PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment) may be required within one year in select areas.

Physical Requirements
Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 lbs in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Possible exposure to communicable diseases. Must speak, read, and write Basic English fluently. Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Manual finger dexterity.
