Senior Program Manager Role Summary/Purpose: The Senior Program Manager, reports directly to the Vice President Field Services and Maintenance Management and is responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of combos, traction motor, engine overhaul programs and various material projects related to Wabtec and customer(s) growth. Essential Responsibilities • Responsibility for Yearly Forecasting and Planning Full responsibility over combos, traction motor, engine overhaul • Responsibility for planning and controlling of all pool materials. • Maintain appropriate communication with the operations teams, customers and third parties. • Develop and grow the relationship between on site and with customer HQ employees. • Check and update the operations procedures. • Prepare, review and follow up the metrics for the operations & work closely with the Material Leaders. • Ensure the availability and adequate stocking of materials to support the operations. • Function as a focal point for interaction with Quality, Engineering, Parts, Repair points to ensure timely service, supply and reliability. • Ensure transportation needs are met to ensure continual flow of materials. • Ensure the safety and security of all Wabtec materials • Deliver OP Plan commitments and drive growth. • Leadership of process, metrics, compliance, EHS and improvement. • Highlight any emergency situations concerning the safety, quality and production. Responsible to identify, drive, and be responsible for overhaul plans for engines, alternators, rotating equipment and associated hardware and final execution Single focal point for customers and the UX sites for all engine forecasts and ordering for all engines for scheduled and unscheduled removals. Understand and execute locomotive service contract requirements and ensure execution to customer and business commitments Responsible for emissions compliance Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Or Associate’s Degree in Technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of professional work or Military experience) Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Operations position Minimum of 5 years of experience in an overhaul leadership capacity Willingness and ability to work in shop environment Ability to travel in Canada and USA Desired Characteristics: Ability to influence others and lead small teams Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Effective problem identification and solution skills Proven analytical and organizational ability Clear thinker with ability to lead team level projects with high sensitivity towards maintaining timeline Demonstrated background of building collaborative relationships Proven people management skills with clear vision and can-do attitude Excellent project management skills Strong data analytics and presentation skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive persuasive attitude Strong quantitative and analytical skills and expertise required in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Strong project planning, project execution skills Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
