As a key Member of the Wabtec Corporation Leadership Team, the purpose of the Senior Project Manager is to control, develop, and coordinate the provision of management in the design, construction and commissioning of engineering projects, so that results are achieved within time, budget and to agreed standards of quality. Duties and Responsibilities Promote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to; Develop and implement project plans, monitor progress in respect of time, costs and quality; Control and optimise the allocation of human and physical resources in respect to engineering, supervision and procurement activities across projects; Identify potential safety, cost, time, quality, procurement and human resources issues and implement corrective actions; Identify contract variations and negotiate additional work within the overall scope of the project; Report on program progress as required; Develop teams and individual team members competence in respect to their disciplines Working Relationships Directly manages project team members, in particular project managers/engineers for Victorian operations; The Senior Project Manager works closely with project staff, the PMO, General Manager, Engineering Manager, Construction & Commissioning manager and the WCS Management Team Maintains and fosters relationships with current and potential stakeholders, in particular, clients, service providers, contractors, subcontractors and employees Qualifications and Skills Essential Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent Substantial experience and proven track record managing complex signalling/communication projects typically worth up to $50 Million Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project (or P6) Proficient at creating contractual reports for clients and WCS Management Team Preferred Past experience working with Victoria Rail Operators such as ARTC, MTM and V-Line Hold valid Victorian Rail Operator Statement of Competencies such as ARTC, MTM and V-Line Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
