Company Job Title: Design Drafter Location: Duquesne, PA Department: Engineering Reports To: Project Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Full Time, Non-exempt Summary: The Design Drafter is responsible for creating Designs using CAD software to create Drawings that can be used for the manufacturing of products. Duties and Responsibilities: Create Drawings using CAD software. Reviewing Mechanical Drawings, updating Job information, etc. Required to be highly organized and exhibit technical proficiency. Exhibit safe work habits adhering to all PPE and OSHA during times in the manufacturing area. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by Management. Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Associate’s Degree with 10-20 yrs experience preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical manuals and diagrams and standards. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Equipment Startups and Installs in Manufacturing Settings. Heat Exchanger or similar Mechanical Plant Equipment Experience is a plus Experience with Mechanical Drawings Preferred Experience with BOM and Procurements Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and Skill with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to interface effectively within all levels of the organization and external customers. Demonstrate organizational skills, practice time management, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion. Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions. Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with manufacturing processes. Work well with all levels of the organization.
