ROLE OVERVIEW

The National Sales Director is an experienced sales leader who will develop, execute, manage and performance track Vytelle’s sales strategy, tactics and objectives leading the regional sales team. The National Sales Director will report directly to the VP of North American Commercial Operations and will be a contributor to overall accountabilities in revenue generation and delivering on Vytelle’s entire suite of products for customers in North America. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach and develop a growing nationwide sales team members to achieve quarterly and annual sales and profit targets
  • Learn and implement EOS® across the sales team, using scorecards to monitor, report, and analyze performance targets/metrics
  • Develop and implement consistent and effective sales strategies and tactics across the team, including sales training for new and experienced sales professionals
  • Establish and nurture productive and professional relationships with customers and stakeholders nationally
  • Manage contracts, partnership accountabilities; negotiate and close agreements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Identify, quantify, and communicate market trends, market opportunities and new product/solution opportunities for future pipeline opportunities to marketing and product development team
  • Use of Vytelle tools, content, and value messaging to support sales and customer success of Vytelle customers and others ensure brand consistency

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness or related field 
  • Minimum 7-10 years of Client facing Experience across the Agriculture, Agri-food or Animal Health Sector
  • Demonstrated success building and managing a high-performance sales team
  • Knowledge and relationships in the cattle genetics, seedstock/breeding markets and or building integrated beef supply chains
  • Marketing AgTech and/or technical products with data driven strategies and value-based selling
  • Proven experience in national account management and/or creating B2B (business-to-business) partnerships 
  • First class communicator and presenter utilizing all the latest technologies
  • Experience using CRM tools to track, close and manage a sales pipeline
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
