We are looking for a Controls Engineer for our client's project which is anticipated to be 80% remote, 20% onsite (Chicago, IL / Austin, TX). Start date is ASAP is expected to last 9 -12 months.
Purpose of Role
Code and architecture review of already existing PLC programs and the integration of a large spectrum of functions, algorithms, and operations within these programs.
Provide a documented report for all reviewed programs.
Document the issues found and develop solutions and implementation test scripts.
Support the implementation of identified modifications and updates.
Collaboration with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering)
Experience/Training Required
Expert level in designing PLC based programs and system and program architecture development considering all characteristics of applications:
Qualifications/Education
Degree in Automation, Mechatronic or Automation Engineering

Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
Occasional travel for training and project implementation.
