VSSI is Hiring a Network Engineer Near Grapevine, TX
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.
- Install new hardware/software and set up employee accounts.
- Network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Install and configure network equipment including routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and other physical hardware.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability.
- Handle virus protection software and information security.
- Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting a thorough analysis of key areas which are causing product and delivery issues.
- Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and is supported by open feedback and two-way communication at all levels.
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company’s culture. % of Job – 10%
- Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.
- Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer, and supplier relationships. Communicates and works well with all business partners.
- Ensures inventory management and merchandise allocation flow of products through the warehouse in the most cost-efficient and productive manner.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Working experience of 1 to 3 years as a network engineer.
- Able to configure, install, and troubleshoot networking devices and firewalls.
- Good working knowledge of Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of Linux is an advantage.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexible to work overtime for special projects or business support.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and task prioritization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effectively communicates concepts with various levels of the organization.
- Must maintain strong attention to detail.
- Shows determination to achieve excellent results.
