Vssi is Hiring a Shipping/Receiving Clerk (FT) Near Fort Worth, TX

**3183 DENTON HIGHWAY HALTOM CITY, TX 76117**
SHIFT: 6am-3:30pm, M-F. Overtime possible
LOCATION: South Fort Worth
PAY RATE- $16-19, DOE.
DURATION: Temporary to permanent
BACKGROUND/DRUG TEST: Must have clean criminal history and pass drug screening.
Job Summary:
- Reading shipping notices, BOL’S material certs, orders, and other documents to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedules.
- Receive item’s, open to verify the product and count.
- Promote a clean and safe working environment through adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety rules.
- Picks, Packs and ships item’s to desired destination.
- Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications.
- Drive to supplier locations for pick-ups and drop offs
- Ensure all Safety procedures/processes are always followed; All safety issues should be reported to Manager/Lead
- Notify management in the case of defects on material or shortages.
- Receive, count and verify all incoming parcels, freight, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent organizational, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to Multitask.
- Works well as a productive member of the team.
- Must have valid driver license and clean driving record.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading and writing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must wear safety gloves, eye protection and steel toe boots.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Forklift experience and certification
- Minimum 1-year experience in UPS WorldShip and Freight BOLs preferred.
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience required (manufacturing preferably)
- Minimum 3 years shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years fulltime employment history required
- State motor vehicle operators permit for operation/Forklift experience highly preferred
