JOB DESCRIPTION

Desktop Support Specialist needed for a well respected managed service provider in Boise, Idaho. You will support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals at various client locations in and around the Treasure Valley. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. You will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and assistance where required.Some of the responsibilities include traveling to the client site to provide troubleshooting and technical support on applications, systems and servers. Additional duties require phone support and remote support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Must be professional in appearance and have great communication skills including written, verbal, and electronic.
• Must have reliable transporation to commute to and from clients locations.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and other commonly used computer applications.
• Must be proficient in network troubleshooting.
• Must be familiar with common networking components and configuration.
• Must be a Self-Motivated Team Player.
• Must be honest.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies and processes.

Education:

High School education required.

Certifications:

A Certification or similar prefered.

Experience:

Previous Experience managing and maintaining network and computer equipment required.
