Hostmark Hospitality Group is searching for a talented and luxury-oriented Banquet Manager to join our team at the voco Chicago Downtown/Holiday Inn Chicago Downtown Wolf Point hotel. The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail and an ability to lead a team by example, ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to the guests.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and assigns work to staff
• Conducts meetings, reviews, and coaching for banquet department staff
• Works with guests in the preparation, execution, and completion of their banquet function
• Addresses and resolves guest and staff concerns
• Administrates and supervises the banquet department and all banquet functions, ensuring that hotel standards are maintained at a superior level.
• Maintains records on artist performance, training completion, labor cost, time off (scheduled and call ins), and tardiness.
• Ongoing communication with all departments including sales and culinary, ensuring a smooth transition for all aspects of guest events and conferences.
• Conduct monthly inventory, including beverage and linen.
• Responsible for daily shift reports, closing out BEO’s, tip & gratuity reporting completion, and review of the banquets department payroll
• Knowledge of Silverware POS Systems.
• Adheres to and tracks compliance on hotel, state, and local levels including serving, liquor, and scheduling ordinances and mandates.
• Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
