QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Software QA Automation Engineer to join the Video Mixing team. This position will bring their experience of Software Testing Life Cycle and automated testing technologies to our software quality group to work on the bleeding edge of software video switchers and video technologies. Your expertise will be utilized to help design, create, extend, and maintain our testing procedures as well as enhance our product reliability and workflow. This is an onsite role in San Antonio, TX 

Required skills: 

• Proficient in C
• Strongly proficient at designing, developing, and maintaining automation test strategies, frameworks, and tools from scratch. 
• Experience with XML launcher script building. 
• Experience with PowerShell and Visual Studio. 
• Experience with testing automation. 
• Experience with investigating, documenting, and debugging difficult problems both independently as well as cooperatively. 
• Experience with integration into CI/CD pipeline utilizing tools such as Jenkins. 

What you’ll bring: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS or related field. 

• 4 years professional software QA/Testing experience. 

• Working knowledge of testing tools, procedures, and processes. 

• Experience in automation programming/scripting. 

• Basic knowledge of PC hardware (graphics/video) and strong Windows PC based computer system knowledge. 

• Accurate and independent working style with strong emphasis on organizational and multi-tasking skills. 

• Ability to analyze business problems, revise, and document solutions. 

• Ability to design and implement controlled environment test procedures. 

• Ability to approach testing scenarios from a consumer perspective. 

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 

Additional, nice-to-have skills: 

• Familiar with AWS cloud platform. 

• Understanding and experience with video. 

• C# experience. 

• Experience with TeamCity. 

• Experience with Jira and/or Fogbugz. 

• Proficient with modern development workflows based on git. 

• Experience in the media/broadcast industry or working knowledge of professional video/production equipment and workflow. 

• Experience with NewTek or NDI products/workflows seen as a large plus.
