Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to be part of our Operations Team. Reporting to Vizgen’s Logistics Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the organizations inventory, supplying materials to required departments via Kanban system, while maintaining accurate records for all transactions, as well as coordinating the organizations cycle counting program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining the organizations inventory accuracy through development of the Cycle Count program(s) for both internal stocking locations, as well as external Third-Party locations.
• Developing and managing daily Cycle Counting program, including but not limited to ensuring daily counts are taking place, recorded, discrepancies investigated and/or adjustments being made as to ensure inventory visibility to the organization is accurate for planning purposes.
• Ensuring daily counts are recorded and maintained in organizations shared folders for management visibility to count records, discrepancies, and variances.
• Ensuring agreed upon Third Party (3PL) warehouse Cycle Counting program is maintained, results recorded, discrepancies investigated and/or adjustments being made as to ensure inventory visibility to the organization is accurate for planning purposes.
• Ensuring agreed upon Subcontractor consigned inventory Cycle Counting program is maintained, results recorded, discrepancies investigated and/or adjustments being made as to ensure inventory visibility to the organization is accurate for planning purposes.
• Assist with physical inventory audits/counts as required for all Cycle Count programs
• Drives inventory management continuous improvement projects, including but not limited to, inventory organization, labeling of inventory, inventory locations labeling, part number creation as needed, Kanban processes implemented.
• Backup support for Logistics Organizations shipping and receiving responsibilities, to include but not limited to, pick, pack, and ship processes, processing of inbound receipts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; and 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with coworkers, and outside vendors
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
• Math proficiency
• Basic understanding of inventory control processes and procedures
• Familiarity with ERP and data entry systems
• Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, standing in warehouse, as required
