GENERAL
PURPOSE:
Leads by example through promoting
and developing vibrant, purposeful and engaging resident programs for
individuals living with dementia. Leads others to develop a well-trained
compassionate Memory Care team that promotes dignity and choice for individuals
living with dementia. Leads by example
through implementation of engagement opportunities that align with successful
aging in the areas of vital brains, vital bodies and vital connections.
JOB
REQUIREMENTS:
Highschool diploma or GED
2 – 3 years as a Memory Care Director at an
Assisted Living/Memory Care Community
Extensive knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease and
other related forms of dementia
Experience in addressing and responding to the
unmet needs of individuals living with dementia
Exceptional teambuilding and leadership skills
Knowledge of the state regulations and
compliance management
Effective communication skills
Strong financial judgement
Maintains basic knowledge of computer software
and internet platforms, including email.
Desire to work with older adults and their
families
