Job Description Product Manager PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Foresight Sports is seeking a talented Product Manager to work on our next generation of Golf Imaging / Launch Monitor technology. In this role you will help guide development from concept through to introduction to the market. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Confer with Sales, Marketing, and end users to gather and write clear, concise, product requirements. Drive development of innovative new functions and features that bring value to our customers. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering, to ensure development is in alignment with strategic goals. Participate in design reviews, documenting findings or feature requests. Participate in all phases of product testing, adding suggestions, and findings in Jira. Work toward a good understanding of competitor technologies, their benefits and deficits. Work closely with project manager during planning sessions to ensure requirements are being implemented effectively. Map out use cases and strive for a seamless user experience for all aspects of the device. Work with Firmware team to describe UI and workflows. Give thorough descriptions of these in Jira. Write user stories that clearly outline background, motivation, use cases, and features. Adhere to timelines to ensure that the product is successfully brought to the marketplace. Guide product development to ensure that once the product is introduced, Foresight Sports continues as an industry leader in data accuracy, and device quality. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or related field. Related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Understanding of consumer device development cycle. 5 years’ experience in a Product Manager role, preferably with consumer electronics. Avid golfer with deep understanding of the golf industry. Additional Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of software / firmware development. Knowledge of Industrial Design Knowledge of Electronic and Mechanical engineering. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION Must have a firm grasp of all aspects of the golf industry. Must have a good understanding of product development, and all of its phases. Must be able to clearly identify, formulate and communicate requirements and user stories. Must put these in terms that a technical team can work to. Must be an effective communicator. Excellent soft skills for interaction with the team and stakeholders. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, normal walking, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., bending, stooping and stretching. Normal hearing and speech, good vision (with or without correction). Working Environment: Work is done in an office environment, with time spent in the manufacturing plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Cross-functional experience or education in and technical areas. Servant Leadership approach to managing personnel. Good team building and communication skills. Ability to make decisions and empower change in a results-oriented environment.
