Position Summary

VCP is in the process of building out a dedicated compliance function and hiring a Compliance Analyst or Associate to join its Compliance team. The candidate for this position will be the third hire and report directly to VCP’s Head of Compliance. The role is that of a generalist, and thus the candidate will have broad exposure to a wide variety of compliance-related topics and areas including, but not limited to, compliance training, compliance testing, designing and implementing policies and procedures, etc. This individual will have an active role in identifying and mitigating compliance risk, fostering a business-oriented compliance function, and helping the organization embrace compliance. This role will be largely dedicated to supporting VCP, the credit platform of Vista Equity Partners, and will be based in New York.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing and maintaining a best-in-class compliance function for Vista, which will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting in the drafting, updating, and revision of VCP policies and procedures.
• Performing regular email review and surveillance, as well as weekly, monthly, and annual testing to detect potential regulatory violations and ensure compliance with regulations and Vista policies.
• Supporting the Compliance Manager in conducting the firm’s annual compliance review.
• Performing anti-money laundering and anti-corruption diligence reviews and supporting AML/KYC processes.
• Assisting with marketing materials review, including fund-related materials and presentations used in fundraising, firm events, and conferences.
• Supporting preparation and submission of regulatory filings.
• Performing trade surveillance and monitoring investment guideline restrictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in private equity, private credit, and/or hedge fund compliance or operations preferred. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management, organization, and project management skills.
• Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint, and developing and maintaining various analysis and reporting tools.
