Visiting Angels is Hiring a Care Coordinator Near Leesburg, VA

Visiting Angels is seeking an experienced, full-time Care Coordinator for our Leesburg, VA office. We offer flexibility in scheduling, competitive wages with matching 401k plan, PTO, bonuses, and advancement opportunities. We are considering candidates who have 2 to 3 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting with employee relations, staffing, office administration, or a patient care background. This position will be full-time.

Position Summary:

The Care Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of services between clients and caregivers, for the implementation of schedules, adequate staffing, and continuity of care to best meet the needs of the clients. These responsibilities will require teamwork with others in the management team, including the Staffing Coordinator and Supervising RN.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the first point of contact and liaison for client inquiries and calls.
  • Lead as the key team member, along with other office team and caregivers, in the initiation of services with clients, including start of care paperwork.
  • Assist with ongoing client service and schedules.
  • Maintain computer schedules and timely data for schedules and client information.
  • Serve as liaison between clients and caregivers.
  • Document activities by entering notes in agency management software.
  • Answering office phones during normal business hours.
  • Participate in on-call along with other office team members.
  • Conduct new caregiver orientation

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and problem solve.
  • Strong commitment to client service excellence and ability to generate goodwill for Visiting Angels with our staff, clients, their families, and referral sources.
  • Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm and maintain a sense of humor in all situations.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Minimum of two to three years of customer service experience.
