We are recruiting for an experienced, friendly, customer service and team oriented individual to join our leadership staff as a General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for the overall sales and profitability of a store location. Manage all operations of the location to include personnel, merchandising, inventory management, training and safety. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing overall performance of the entire retail operation. Essential Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:· Utilize and educate associates on SKILL and COACH relating to current business objectives· Ensure Take 5 Program is being utilized for all associates including maintenance of the recognition board· Responsible for the financial success (P&L) of the supported location. Compares store operating performance to budget on a consistent basis· Analyze, interpret, and react accordingly to all KPIs and the variable margin information· Execute all administrative responsibilities of the location, such as order maintenance, time and attendance system and other necessary paperwork· Create, post and ensure schedule efficiency to comply with budget and facilitate staffing needs· Maintain appropriate supply and product inventory levels for location· Support location associates to succesfully execute their specific responsibilities by providing the tools, benchmarks, resources, ideals, education and training Qualified Candidates will possess the following:High School Diploma or equivalent1-2 years of management experiencePrevious association with Cambridge Eye Doctors/Empire Vision for a minimum If you are prohibited from working on a government contract, this may disqualify you from consideration for this position.
