VisionPoint Marketing is a full service marketing agency based in Raleigh, NC, specializing in higher education marketing consultation and execution. We serve universities, colleges and community colleges across the country to help them achieve their branding, enrollment, communication and fundraising goals. The Account Management Intern will gain experience in managing projects and gaining an overall understanding of the process of developing and producing advertising materials for a variety of clients. The Account Management Intern would have the opportunity to sharpen their communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and relationship building skills, as well as gain valuable sales and negotiation experience.

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities: 

• Weekly research and analysis of industry and competitive trends (consider college type and/or client-specific) 
• Develop initial draft progress reports with the oversight of the Account Manager
• Attend internal meetings and assist with note taking
• Assist in developing client presentations as needed
• Participate in internal brainstorming and ideation sessions
• Assist Account Manager in project brief development and review
• Support Account Manager in sales handoff process and client kickoff
• Work closely with internal project managers, creative, strategy, digital and media groups to keep them informed of any changes in client and/or competitive climate
• Support client renewal and expansion opportunities

Our Internship ProgramThe VisionPoint internship program is a 12-week program offered in Spring, Summer and Fall. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are looking to gain experience in an agency setting. We value all of our interns and go the extra mile to ensure your experience fits your career goals. Every intern in the program is assigned a mentor who will work with them to set goals and provide regular performance feedback. VisionPoint is happy to work with full-time students looking to get course credit for their internship. In order to truly immerse yourself in the VisionPoint work environment, we recommend that you spend at least 15-20 hours in our office each week. VisionPoint Marketing believes that every intern has the potential to become a full-time VisionPoint employee following graduation.
