Opportunity:

Virtual Service Operations is searching for a Business Analyst to join our team in the Washington D.C. area. This individual will have the following responsibilities:

• Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.
• Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
• Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Analyze programs and technology against organizational management guidance, standards, process, and policies. 
• Work with standard office automation tools to provide customer with reports and other informational products. 
• Perform analysis of alternatives in an effort to provide options and recommendations for addressing gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement, including cost and benefit for each alternative, risks, issues, and dependencies. 
• Prepare documentation and progress reports for clients. 
• Provide customer with ad hoc services as needed. 
• Assist clients through the change-management process.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of progressively responsible work experience as a business analyst.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and software development methodologies
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum principles. 
• Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating comfort in dealing with a large span of people. Strong communication skills- verbal, written, listening, and presentation.

• Active Public Trust Clearance

• Must be within the Washington D.C. area, and willing to occasionally work onsite
