Virginia MetalFab is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to fill the role of an Assembler.
WHO YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE
As an Assembler you will be a part of an AWESOME shop team and will be responsible for assembling various products per work instructions and assembling finished parts into a finished product. You will use tools, machines, and your hands to make all products.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Utilize hand tools and other powered equipment to fabricate or alter sheet metal parts.
- Assist in setting up or assembling all fabricated parts and components in various departments.
- Assist Operations Director in various administration tasks as assigned.
- Work from patterns and blueprints, using a variety of tools and machines to assemble components.
- Lift and carry heavy metal parts and pieces to construct a final product.
- Consistently check the quality of all parts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use computers and programmable devises to assemble.
- Work with others during the assembly process and complete an item or task together with others, often rotating tasks and deciding how to maximize their efficiency.
SHIFT
Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- Certifications and Licenses – Forklift
- Ability to frequently lift and/or carry 51 – 100 lb.
- Ability to push and/or pull 41 – 100 lb.
- Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
- Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
