Accounts Payable Manager 

The Accounts Payable Manager is to honor request for vendor and payroll disbursements for Virginia Hospital Center in a timely manner, to maintain supporting documentation in an orderly fashion and to ensure that proper internal controls are in place so that all disbursements are appropriate and according to policy. Accounts Payable Manager will monitor and control subordinate work flow, striving to increase productivity without reducing the quality of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 Years Accounts Payable in a Computerized Environment or 5 Years Materials Management Software Applications Preferred
• 5 Years Demonstrated Leadership Ability Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of financial management, by planning, preparing and achieving annual budget goals.
• Monitors variances to the monthly budget and makes appropriate recommendations and adjustments to meet expenditure guidelines. Addresses and communicates variances to appropriate management.
• Collaborates with appropriate personnel to define department based competencies and orientation.
• Plans and facilitates trainings or programs to meet the educational needs of staff, including orientation, in-services, or education requirements.
