Job purpose Responsible for performing simple to moderately complex charge entry tasks, including entry of charges for surgical and clinic services, resolution of claim edits and reconciliation of transactions entered. Duties and Responsibilities Verifying and entering professional and surgery charges, procedure, and diagnosis codes into the Practice Management system Reconciling daily charges to provider and facility schedules. • Tracking of missing charges Review and/or entry of information into Practice Management system with accuracy and speed Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both written and verbally Ability to meet month end deadlines. Posts simple to moderately complex charges for services; reviews encounter forms for accuracy; ensures correct data entry of codes; ensures charges are entered/processed in accordance with required targets. Performs batch reconciliation of all charges entered. Works and corrects system edits related to charge entry as assigned Coordinates with practice personnel to resolve registration issues. Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient, employee and physician information. Performs all other job functions related to this job.
