Your Position Summary:

Junior Systems Administrator is a position that requires you to manage all aspects of modern hybrid cloud environment using standard enterprise toolsets.You will perform a full range of duties to maintain applications, systems, and infrastructure with a focus on Windows server and AD administration. Technologies covered include , Cisco, Veeam, DellEMC and Fortigate. This person provides technical assistance, guidance, and support for internal users and customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers Users, Group and Computer objects and creates Group Policy using Group Policy Management Console.
  • Maintains the enterprise identity management infrastructure
  • Backup systems administrator. including monitoring backups for success, troubleshooting failed backup issues, restores (internal and for the customer) and systems upgrades.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-hosted IP based phone system. Installing phones, apps and systems upgrades.
  • Perform Email migrations from various Email platforms to 0365.
  • Complete new employee setups for on-boarding, i.e. user and email setup, logins, printer setup, telephone setup, etc.
  • Work with Third-Party IT Vendor Maintain user, group, and computer accounts in Active Directory (AD), and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout the Active Directory (AD) enterprise, and VMware environments.
  • Work with Security and IT Auditors to identify and remediate issues. Plan and implement changes to the infrastructure environment, independently and with our Third-Party IT Vendor, to satisfy deficiencies identified through audits. Document all actions that are taken to resolve identified issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, run-books, infrastructure architecture diagrams, and maintenance procedures. Work with our Third-Party IT Vendor to develop standard operating procedures for common technical issues. Maintain IT department technical documentation and support ticket system.
  • Use best practice techniques and tools to monitor all user endpoints and proactively resolve problems. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone, independently and with our Third-Party IT Vendor. Interface with our Third-Party IT Vendor for alerted technical support issues and fixes.
  • Implementation and consulting on automating processes as well as creating documentation and instructions for automation and data transfer mechanisms. Identify faults and issues and recommend appropriate paths to resolution in conjunction with other IT Staff and independently and our Third-Party IT Vendor as appropriate.
  • Basic project management and working with the PMO team as needed following project management best practice and PMO Standards. Performing other duties as assigned to further the goals and objectives of the IT Department.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • A four-year college degree preferred or two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Employment experience working at an MSP or in a Enterprise Help Desk
  • Strong experience with Application Support along with Scripting Tools and SQL
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in enterprise applications and infrastructure support role.
  • Relevant Active Directory and Server Certifications.
  • Effectively provide technical support within established KPI’s and SLA’s.
