Summary/Objective

Create, review, and revise engineering and technical documentation necessary to fabricate automated machinery

Primary Responsibilities

• Creates models, layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials on assigned projects, usually from engineering sketches or layouts prepared by others.
• Lead or assist in creation and adherence of company CAD standards.
• Completes Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) and enters ECO's in ERP system.
• Provides technical documentation support for internal customers and suppliers, including manufacturing, service, and other engineering personnel.
• Performs basic math calculations for evaluating mechanical component tolerances and dimensioning use on Engineering documentation, usually following standard department procedures and tables.
• Update parts, assemblies, and drawings created in older CAD software to Solidworks.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• A high school education plus a technical education, work experience, or certificate in CAD Design / Drafting, or equivalent.
• Proficient Solidworks user.

Preferred Software Experience

• Solidworks - required
• Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
