Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is searching for a qualified individual to work in our fire alarm and fire extinguisher division in Des Moines, IA. The qualified candidate should be able to leverage their industry knowledge to help grow a fire alarm/suppression business. This would include service work, inspections, and installations.

Job Summary:

This position requires the ability to service, repair and replace fire alarm related products. The ability to inspect and test fire alarm system for established customers on a scheduled basis.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of life safety, alarm panels, devices and critical components
  • Special hazard and VESDA experienced preferred
  • Low voltage electronics experience
  • Proper communication skills dealing with customers
  • Valid Driver s License
  • NICET I or ESA 1 Certification with 2 years experience required
  • NICET II or ESA 2 Certification preferred
  • Willing to pass a pre-employment drug test, reference check, and background check

Responsibilities:

  • Service, install, test and inspect fire alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems
  • Installation of fire alarm systems and related equipment
  • Complete records for inspections and work orders for service and installations
  • Ability to self-lead when required
  • Maintain existing customer relationships while helping grow a new customer base
  • Identifying code and non-conformance issues

Pay Range:

Competitive wage based on experience, medical, dental, profit sharing program, 401k, and more.
