Vicente Sederberg is looking for an exceptional paralegal who will be primarily based in our California office. This position is a unique chance to get ahead of the curve and become an expert in cannabis law by working with a top mission-driven industry law firm.

Responsibilities of our Paralegal include but are not limited to:

  • Providing expert paralegal and administrative support with minimal supervision; demonstrating exceptional organizational skills (preparing calendars; maintaining up-to-date files) and handling various legal tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Proofreading and formatting legal documents.
  • Preparing, editing, reviewing, and organizing client documents, including licensing applications and relevant client information for attorney review.
  • Maintaining and updating complex research projects (often Excel spreadsheet-based) across numerous jurisdictions and subject matters.
  • Managing corporate formation process and state-level corporate filings for clients.
  • Ensuring documentation is appropriately filed electronically and physically.
  • Maintaining templates and SOPs for corporate document forms, workflows, and databases.
  • Serving as the primary contact for all questions and training on Tri-State Licensing Group processes.
  • Occasional legal research using Westlaw.
  • Assistance with Client Intake, National Licensing, and other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills, strong self-motivator with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., creating and editing Excel spreadsheets, creating tables of contents & authorities, document formatting), Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive, Clio, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, NetDocs, and DocuSign preferred.
  • Well-versed in computer technology.
  • Excellent time and deadline management skills in a fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and reprioritize quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization in a positive, collaborative manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including familiarity with common legal terminology.
  • Ability to uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality and exercise good judgment on day-to-day decisions.
