Job Title: Fulfillment Associate 

Location: New Jersey

Position Summary

The Fulfillment Associate will be responsible to ensure that parts are received properly, inspected to part drawing requirements and quality, put away in proper locations, and shipped per customer requirements. This position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment that supports a safe and efficient workplace.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Ensures a meticulous, clean and highly organized workplace daily; create quarterly continuous improvement plan
• Communicates with General Manager, Corporation Production and Director, Strategic Projects on issues affecting schedules, deadlines, deliveries and other important business matters
• Coordinates the unpacking, inspection and routing of incoming shipments
• Performs necessary ERP inventory transactions for receiving, inspection and shipping processes
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parts in accordance to part drawings requirements, standard operating procedures and management’s instructions.
• Ensure every customer gets a clean piece of material. All product and packaging leaving the warehouse must be reflect the quality standards of VMC.
• Inspect incoming, outgoing and inventory in accordance with quality standards
• Documents inspection results in part inspection logs
• Pick and pack parts out of stock locations as specified on Fulfillment Dashboard on the tablet
• Put received parts away into proper locations
• Coordinate with Shipping/receiving personnel to schedule trucks required for deliveries and receipts
• Creates packing slips for invoicing
• Creates shipping labels for packages according to customer shipping requirements
• Generates Bills Of Lading for truck shipments
• Maintain stock of shipping and packaging supplies based on scheduled and projected orders
• Perform cycle count and annual inventory duties
• Provide shipping quotations as required by customers

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Previous ERP experience
• Experience with shipping/receiving processes
• Ability to use calipers, height gages, thread gages, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to use computers and related technology

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a warehouse environment
• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift Certification a plus
• Excellent computer skills and experience with ERP
• Experience with shipping/receiving
• Experience with standard inspection equipment
