Additionally, the Tooling Team Member will be visible representative of Viant’s Vision in being the medical device industry’s most trusted design and manufacturing services partner. RESPONSIBILITIES:·Responsible for following all GMP’s and SOP’s as defined by Viant Medical’s policies, practices, and procedures, to ensure that all the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and ISO (13485) regulations and Viant Medical’s quality management standards are met.·Communicates mold status and updates production board at 8:45 & 2:45 production meeting daily. If require. ·Enters and maintains all mold specification information in IQMS.·Enters mold work orders for tool room in IQMS.·Closes mold work orders in IQMS.·Assist tool room manager in gathering data and developing power point presentations to be presented to the customer.·Enters mold as out of service in IQMS when mold is being taken to tool room.·Enters mold in service in IQMS when mold work is completed and is ready to be taken back to production, or stored for future use.·Follow all reporting and documentation as required by established policies, practices and procedures.·Drives the company truck between 6 Century Road location and Tool Room location, and other locations within Tri-State area as necessary.·Obtain and maintain internal forklift certification.·Drives the forklift and pallet jack.·Actively support organizational goals and objectives.·Participate in team projects.·Other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS:·Quick learner; sharp, flexible thinker·Ability to work with people and keep a positive attitude in challenging situations·Attention to detail and strong organizational skills·Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English·Organized and able to manage priorities·Able to work in a team environment·Reliable and able to work assigned shift and schedule·Able and willing to be on call and/or work overtime as necessary on short notice·Ability to enter information accurately and quickly into computer system·5 years of experience in plastic injection mold making / repairing ·Experience with manual milling machines, surface grinders, lathes, and laser welding·Repair or maintain molds after production run.·Operate tool room equipment to repair molds or create fixtures·Experience working with Proto-track controls·Experience working with Manual EDM machine controls·Experience with bench work doing final touch / fitting the parting line shutoff·Must be able to read and understand blueprints·Communicating review daily mold PM. schedules, ·Coordinating and work with other tool room personnel to make sure daily molds requirement are ready for production on time.·Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:·High school diploma required·Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office tools·Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems, preferable IQMS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:·Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds.·Able to lift 25 lbs. to a height of 6 feet.·Long periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and turning.·Moderate amounts of overhead lifting.·Frequent amounts of finger dexterity and significant use of hands.·Ability to climb and work on ladders. Must be able to perform work above shoulder height.·Must be able to wear required PPE including but not limited to safety shoes.·Must be able to work and keep up with the fast pace environment and complete duties in a timely and accurate manner.·Work requires standing and walking for prolonged periods and frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, pushing, pulling, and reaching. CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:Some of the responsibilities and duties will be on the production floor, tool room, and/or warehouse that can be hot in summer, cold in winter, hazardous, noisy, and dusty.
