Viad Corp is searching for an energetic financial professional with strong communication and organizational skills, and a growth-oriented, forward-looking mindset to join its Investor Relations team in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Viad’s Investor Relations team is the company’s liaison with the investment community, and is responsible for communicating Viad’s strategy, financial performance, and investment merits to external stakeholders. The team runs the quarterly earnings call process, hosts meetings and events with shareholders and sell-side analysts, and supports enterprise-level ESG initiatives and reporting.

The Investor Relations Analyst will be a key contributor to the team, providing critical support to investor relations activities and ESG initiatives, as well as keeping internal stakeholders up to date on matters that could affect investment community perceptions (such as peer/industry news and benchmarking). A successful candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement, strong data analysis skills and attention to detail, strong critical thinking and communication skills, and high personal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Gather/prepare/review disclosures and analyze financial results and forecasts in support of the quarterly external reporting process and other investor communications (earnings release, executive script, presentation, guidance, and Q&A)
• Assist in the development of reports to the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
• Support Investor Relations events, including conferences, non-deal roadshows, and investor/analyst days, with scheduling, logistics, preparation work, and investor presentation updates
• Monitor and analyze analyst estimates/targets and key peer announcements/earnings results
• Maintain corporate website
• Assist in the preparation of ESG disclosures
• Provide analytical and other support as requested in support of strategic and operational special projects aimed at increasing enterprise value
• Perform other related duties as requested

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point applications
• An aptitude for numbers to include first time accuracy and vigilant attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• The ability to handle multiple projects, meet constant deadlines and work with confidential information
• A self-starter approach with the ability to research problems and complete projects independently
• Solid understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows)
• Hyperion applications (HFM) and public company experience a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Minimum 2 years financial analysis, public accounting or similar experience
