ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Virginia Beach, VA team is looking for a talented transportation intern to join us! This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner.
• Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions
• Perform analysis of data or calculations
• Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
• Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS.
• Ability to independently perform multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with coworkers.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Team oriented with strong capability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in engineering
