Veterinary Solutions Limited is Hiring a Remote QA Engineer

We are looking for an agile tester who focusses on preventing, rather than finding, defects by providing the testing mindset to our SCRUM team. You will have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate well with both technical and business stakeholders. You will be customer focused and drive development to produce the desired business outcomes. You’ll always strive to understand the ‘spirit of the story’ and keep the big picture in mind when testing. We are not just looking for someone to write and execute test plans, our agile tester must be someone who can sharpen the team, provide faster feedback and crank up the speed on delivering software to our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the product-engineering team and stakeholders to define testable user stories and detailed acceptance criteria. Collaborate within the team fostering a continuous testing approach. Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases Plan and organize own work Responsible for collating metrics that monitor quality and presenting these to the team. Oversee acceptance testing and provide sign off when a release is ready to go GA QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a professional software house or development department within a corporate company or proven skills and experience. Specialised Knowledge and Skills: Experience with SQL Server for extracting and manipulating data Excellent oral and written communication skills. Being self-motivated and proactive Critical thinker: Able to decompose the abstract into detail Proven attention to detail and accuracy essential Being logical and objective Embraces change and is flexible in approach Being able to work under pressure Proven ability in problem solving, prioritising and interpersonal relationship building Desirable: Experience of Microsoft Office suite, including Teams, Word, Excel and Azure DevOps Experience working in a geographically dispersed team Knowledge of the veterinary market would be helpful.
