Description

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of our clothing donations and disbursements. The Warehouse Coordinator must be customer service oriented, be a self-starter, have a professional manner, be organized, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn.

Compensation Range:

$13.00 - $17.25 hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accept incoming clothing, sort and prepare clothing for distribution to our clients
  • Stand Down Clothing Tent Coordinator
    • Point of contact for receiving shipments arranged by the Stand Down Director
    • Organize and train volunteers
    • Organize and run clothing drive
    • Collect and store towels, blankets, and hygiene items received specifically for Stand Down.
  • Make sure clothing is ready for distribution at designated times.
  • Prepare client intake kits (toiletries, blankets, pillows, sheets) and deliver to intake coordinator(s)
  • Keep accurate records of what is issued and to whom
  • Accept clothing donations and write donation receipts
  • Make accurate entries into the clothing log
  • Assists with receiving and storing Children’s Holiday gifts for VVSD residents
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma preferred; previous clothing or retail experience a plus
  • Ability to fluently read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to comfortable perform, both mentally and physically, all aspects of job description and other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Excellent customer service skills a must!
  • Must be able to interact with a wide diversity of clients and staff
  • Must have basic understanding of math
  • Able to sort, size and prepare clothing for distribution

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
  • Capable of hearing and speaking to exchange information
  • Seeing to read reports and data
  • Ability to speak English
  • Ability to work in a noisy, busy environment
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds

Covid-19 Requirements:

VVSD requires require all employees to be fully vaccinated and boosted (once, but may change per contract requirements) for COVID-19. All prospective hires will be expected to provide proof of full vaccination as part of the pre-employment credentialing process.
