Staffing Pros, a division of VETS Inc., is recruiting for a full-time Field Technician in New York, NY. COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Field Technicians provide customer-focused, efficient, and effective face-to-face support to clients and play a critical role in building trust and confidence. They ensure resolution of incidents and service requests are resolved which cannot be remotely. A personal vehicle is required to travel to client sites within a 100 mile radius (50% travel, 50% remote).

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolution of onsite incidents to return service to clients as quickly as possible.
• Participate in the onsite implementation of client change requests.
• Work with the team to escalate incidents & service requests as directed.
• Maintain and update system documentation and service ticket records.
• Stay up to date on the latest technologies through ongoing education, training, self-learning, and professional certifications.

• The ability to understand the perspective of the client in all service interactions.
• Must make effective use of time and complete tasks efficiently and on time.
• Must be able to work with a team, communicate effectively, and have a high degree of attention to detail.
• Must meet client and corporate expectations for attendance, quality, and performance.
• Must have basic experience with each of the following:
  • System hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Cloud solutions such as Office 365 and Google Apps.
  • Networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Switches, firewalls, and wireless network devices.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Experience with each of the following is a plus but not required:
  • Advanced infrastructure, virtualization, and storage.
  • Cloud-based datacenters such as Azure and AWS.
  • Server applications such as SQL Server and RDS.
  • Voice technologies and phone systems.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional ITSM experience.

Preferred:

• Associates degree in computer science or related field of study.
• MSP experience.
• Certifications from leading vendors such as Apple, CompTIA, or Microsoft.
