Livingston Law Group PLLC is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Charlottesville, VA

Boutique trial attorney firm in Charlottesville seeking an experienced paralegal to jump into a fast-paced environment and driven team to work in all aspects of a trial practice for attorneys who practice throughout the state.

We are a two-attorney, three-paralegal personal injury firm with a large client base and extensive referral source network. Most cases are for medical malpractice with a mix of auto, premises and other personal injury, legal malpractice, and defamation.

Requirements:

  • Balance between attention to detail and ability to juggle moving pieces in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

Prior personal injury paralegal experience strongly preferred. Prelaw applicants welcome.

Job Description:

  • Draft demand letters
  • Draft written discovery with clients and attorneys
  • Draft pleadings and memoranda
  • Perform medical and legal research
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses
  • Track all case deadlines and ensure their completion
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Interview prospective clients
  • Order and review medical records
  • Update clients and referral sources on case status
  • Assist with professional extracurriculars and committee work
  • Open to other tasks and responsibilities according to preference of the candidate and demonstrated success on the job

Training and mentoring is provided on the latest trial practice management software and all aspects of litigation paralegal work.

Our office is steps away from the Downtown Mall with parking provided. This is a fully in-person position.

Compensation $50,000-$90,000 per year depending on experience, including performance-based bonuses. Good benefits package.
